Sayani's illustrious musical journey spans over two decades, marked by dedication, excellence and an unwavering passion for her art.
Beginning her musical taleem at the tender age of four, her rigorous training includes 21 years of revered tutelage under Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty and later Padma Bhushan Girija Devi-ji as a scholar at the prestigious Sangeet Research Academy. This extensive mentorship has allowed Sayani to excel in her craft, captivating millions of listeners with her versatile and soulful singing.
A gold medalist at both graduate and postgraduate levels, She has completed her Ph.D. in Thumri from University of Calcutta.
Since 2011, Sayani has lent her melodious voice as a playback singer for numerous contemporary stalwarts of the Bengali film music industry.
Her foray into Bombay film music was marked by the grace of renowned musical trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy for the film "Katti Batti".
She was crowned the winner of India's prestigious singing talent hunt, "Big Golden Voice," in 2014 and has since judged several such competitions, viewing them as crucial platforms for emerging musicians.
Sayani's talents have been apprised by the maestro A. R. Rahman, who praised her for the testimonial presentation "Reliving Rahman" in celebration of his 50th birthday.
Her collaborative series "Sayani's MusiCoLab" has garnered significant admiration, for her innovative approach towards independent music.
Beyond her contributions to Indian cinema and classical music, Sayani has represented India on various diplomatic platforms, performing in international concerts across the USA, UK, and Bangladesh.
As a dedicated music educator, she has also groomed hundreds of students, nurturing the next generation of musical talent.
